
Brightview Senior Living and Westminster Ridge Retirement Community Honor Westminster Resident Wil Alleman as ‘Caregiver of the Year’ at Annual Leadership Conference
Westminster, MD - Baltimore based Brightview Senior Living, owner and manager of Westminster Ridge Retirement and Assisted Living Community, as well as 15 other retirement communities in the mid-Atlantic region, held its Leadership Conference on April 22 - 24, 2008 in Hunt Valley, Md. The annual event is highlighted by the announcement of the recipient of Brightview’s highest honor, the award for ‘Caregiver of the Year.’ Westminster resident Wil Alleman won the award for his dedication and commitment to increasing the quality of life for residents with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of memory challenges. Mr. Alleman serves as a caregiver in the Wellspring Memory Care neighborhood of Westminster Ridge.
Mr. Alleman was nominated by his supervisor who said, “I thank God for Wil every day. Together we share a dream of the highest quality of life for our Wellspring residents with respect, dignity and understanding. Our residents enjoy Wil’s company and Wil enjoys enabling them to feel engaged and productive. He is a hero.” Upon receiving the award Wil explained, “I am fortunate, in my “post-retirement” years, to have found my true passion in working with seniors.” Westminster Ridge Executive Director Judy McFarland added, “The Westminster Ridge team and residents are delighted that such a deserving person has been chosen for recognition as Caregiver of the Year. Wil Alleman is an inspiration to all of us.”
