Evergreen Woods Life Care Retirement Community Awarded CARF-CCAC Re -Accreditation
North Bradford, CT - CARF–CCAC announced that Evergreen Woods Life Care Retirement Community has been awarded re-accreditation for an additional five-year term. Only a small group of Life Care Communities nationally are awarded the honor of CARF-CCAC Accreditation each year. Evergreen Woods has been accredited since 2002, and is proud of the professional care and personal service they provide for the residents of Evergreen Woods.
Any retirement community that receives a five-year term of accreditation has voluntarily put itself through a rigorous peer review process and demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site survey that it is committed to conforming to CARF–CCAC’s accreditation conditions and standards. Furthermore, an organization that earns CARF–CCAC accreditation is commended on its quest for quality programs and services.
Marilynn Duker, president of Brightview Senior Living said of Evergreen Woods, "Brightview Senior Living prides itself on having vibrant people creating vibrant communities. Evergreen Woods demonstrates that mission each day and is a star among our communities. In today’s world, achieving this accreditation serves as testimony to the dedicated and professional team of Associates at Evergreen Woods. It also means that Evergreen Woods residents and those choosing between retirement options have the peace of mind of knowing that Evergreen Woods achieved independent accreditation that places it at the top of retirement community choices in Connecticut.”
Virginia Garvey, a resident at Evergreen Woods adds, “I have been a resident for the past 18 months. I looked at many communities before choosing Evergreen Woods, and it was truly the people and atmosphere that helped make my decision. I would be remiss if I did not mention that the CARF-CCAC seal of approval played a big part in my decision as well! It was important for me to know that the community has that approval from such a reputable national organization. I am now the President of the Resident Council and thrilled that I made the move to Evergreen Woods."
