Local Senior Living Community Brightview East Norriton Celebrates at Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

East Norriton, PA - Brightview East Norriton, a new retirement living community situated on a wooded-property in Montgomery County, welcomed more than 250 people to its a grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony and reception at the community at 300 East Germantown Pike in East Norriton on June 10, 2008.

President of Brightview Senior Living, Marilynn Duker, was master of ceremonies at the event and welcomed everyone to the new community. Montgomery County leader and Commissioner Chairman James Matthews spoke at the ceremony and offered an official declaration on behalf of the county for the residents of Brightview East Norriton. Others who spoke and participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony were Kandy Heckman, a Member of East Norriton Township Board of Supervisors, Mary Leventon, Executive Director of Brightview East Norriton; Kristl Wiernicki, daughter of a resident; and new Brightview resident Marvin Weiss. The Rev. David Stickley of the Wissahickon Hospice offered a blessing for the community.

A reception followed the ribbon-cutting and was held inside the community’s pub, dining room and entertainment center. The entertainment featured musician Gary Murway, keyboardist Frank Sambuco and singer Lin D’Andrea. The exceptional professional chefs and dining staff at the East Norriton catered the event, and many people commented that this was the highlight of the party for them.

Executive Director of East Norriton, Mary Leventon, said, “We enjoyed welcoming everyone to this beautiful new independent and assisted living community. We have a wonderful team of caring professionals who take pride in creating a warm environment for our new residents. Each week more people move in to our growing community, and we add more ideas to our list of program activities and special cultural events.”
